Since 1725 the story of our family is intimately bond to nature and winemaking and even more to a love for Collio/Brda and the land where we grew up. Every generation has developed its own concept but has always kept the featural values of our family, in other words passion, teamwork, and perfection both in the vineyard and in the cellar.
The Erzetic estate is in Višnjevik, country of origin of ribolla gialla, symbol of Collio/Brda for a long time.
Ribolla nera, also known as schioppettino, risked ending up in oblivion, but we are proud to be the first winemakers in Collio/Brda that have both these wines.
In our underground cellar there are big terracotta amphoras (with a capacity between 360 and 2500 liters). They are completely buried in marly and calcareous soil typical of Collio/Brda and they enrich the range of tanks where we age our wines.
Even if the tradition says that aging must be done in durmast barrels, with our fresh and drinkable wines we are able to give them a touch of charm by aging on fine dregs in inox barrels.
Our ancient knowledge about pouring and bottling with favorable moon weave together with the most recent techniques and equipment, but always granting the most natural aging.
From this perspective, we are engaged in respecting the fundamentals of organic wine making, both in vineyard and in cellar, as guaranteed by the certification we received.
