A 50-year story began…with its origin in great passion and in family tradition. In love with Friuli, its land, and especially with Collio and Colli Orientali, the last patch of Italy before Eastern Europe. In 1964 Dorino Livon bought the first plot of land on the Collio hills and then step by step he added other plots. At the beginning of the 80s Valneo and Tonino entered the company. They brought in new ideas and new strategies and they especially focused on quality, which is the trait that since 1989 stood out the company with its logo, the winged woman from Ertè.
The following decade has strengthened all the efforts of the past.
The next turning point for the company strategy occurred between 1992 and 1997 when Valneo and Tonino realized that they had to do something to stay competitive in a market that was changing and evolving very quickly, and so they bought two wineries in significant areas outside Friuli: azienda Agricola Borgo Salcetino in Tuscany, in the heart of Chianti Classico and Fattoria Colsanto in Umbria (Bevagna, Perugia), in D.O.C.G. Montefalco area.
In 2003 they bought Villa Chiopris and after a long restoration, in 2008 it regained its ancient magnificence and became a location for events, tastings, B&B, granting relax bites in the middle of vineyards.
