ribolla that refers to our family tradition.
Medot is the ribolla gialla father’s house, Zvonimir Simčič, and he strove for the conservation of this vineyard dedicating his entire life to enhance the quality and explore its potential. After a long career full of success, that worth his international celebrity and undisputed respect in the wine world, when he went to retire, he produced the first classic method spumante from ribolla gialla grapes and in honor of this father he called this wine “Medot” – the rest is history. Nowadays Medot spumante is one of the best Slovenian classic method wines, thanks to an extended bottle-fermented method that gives full body and elegant freshness. That’s why this is a particularly appreciated spumante, especially by the most refined palates, because it is suitable for every kind of course, as a starter or a dessert. Our opinion is that Medot ribolla gialla brings the same zip as spring and so we decided to dedicate it to Zvonimir Simčič.
