It was 1972 when Luigi Antonutti, one of the deans of friulan wine, in love with the area and the products offered by the hills, bought some hectares in the heart of Collio Goriziano. So “Subida di Monte” was established. As the years go by Subida grew and now it includes almost 10 hectares.
Looking ahead through a path based both on tradition and innovation in 2020 Subida became Agrotech Società Agricola a r.l., owned by the Scarpa family.
Thanks to Andrea Antonutti collaboration (Gigi’s son), who closely follows the supply chain, Subida di Monte is a point of reference in the wine making scene of this region, with the great passion for the land and its vineyards.
The wines are produced respecting the nature and the territory, without using synthetic chemicals, pesticides, or herbicides.
Only organic fertilizers are used to protect the plants against fungi, that means only low environmental impact products, which are not dangerous for men’s health.
Grapes are harvested by hand and winemaking is made in inox tanks where the fermentation temperature is constantly checked. For aging wines are left on their dregs until the are bottled.
Every year almost 40.000 bottles are produced from 8 vineyard hectares with their different density (5000-7000 vine per hectare).
